What does Dr. Ambedkar mean to me?

What does Dr. Ambedkar mean to me?

By – Prachand alias Pasala Subbaramaiah (Retd. Scientist, DRDO)

1. Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar meant to me a call ( educate, agitate, organise) to capture political power (which is the master key for the solution to all problems.)

2. Going back in the time scale, He meant to me as the unseen Commander- In- Chief of Mahar Regiment, who defeated a regime in January 1818 at Bhima Koregaon that enforced a broom to the waist, a pot to the mouth and a bell in the hand to the untouchables, after which they- the untouchables raised their heads and lived in dignity.

3. He meant to me the Warrior who shattered the shackles of inequality, bondage and cruelty by walking along with thousands of this people- men, women and children- to the Chowdar tank at Mahad in March 1927 and then thereafter made the public bonfire of Manu Smriti in the same year at the same place on 25th December.

4. He meant to me a Crusader who lead his people to assert their human rights in 1930 at Kalaram temple, Nashik.

5. He meant to me a fighter, an orator and a debater at Round Table Conferences in London during 1930-32 and won the Communal Award with separate Electorates to capture the political power/to become an equal partner in political power. But alas! With a heavy, heavy heart of anguish a Saviour at Yerwada jail on 24th September 1932.

6. He meant to me the founder of own political party for the people the IPL in August 1936 and won 15 members of Legislative Council in Bombay Province of the British India in Feb 1937 as the undisputed leader of 96% of the Indian people- the SC, ST, BC, Shudras, women and the toiling masses of other castes and communities- the Bahujan Samaj.

7. He meant to me a Victor in 1942 to get sanction for separate Settlements for His people for the ownership of the lands where they tilled.

8. And having failed in Separate Electorates and Separate Settlements for His people who feed and protect and provide all the necessities of life of all living beings in the nature- and the recon, He meant to me. Ultimately as the Resurrector of the Indian Nation- the people of India that is Bharat the Republic of India on the 28th Nov 1949 when He presented the Constitution which we, the people of India enacted and adopted. 9. And finally He meant to me Bodhisatta Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar when He gave the Buddha Dhamma at Nagpur Deeksha Bhumi on 14 Oct 1956 for the peace and happiness of the world- Bahujan

9. And finally, He meant to me Bodhisatta Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar when He gave the Buddha Dhamma at Nagpur Deeksha Bhumi on 14 Oct 1956 for the peace and happiness of the world- Bahujan Sukhaya, Bahujan Hitaya , Bahujan Attaya. 10. And on this Mahaparinirvana on 6th Dec 1956, He meant to me as a Champion of Human Rights: Social, Economic, Political, Cultural. Who left for his people- the Bahujan Samaj a bunch of

10. And on the Mahaparinirvana on 6th Dec 1956, He meant to me as a Champion of Human Rights: Social, Economic, Political, Cultural. Who left for his people- the Bahujan Samaj a bunch of tristed and powerful lieutenants to cleanse the ills and evils and Save this Nation- India that is Bharat. And then, I see Him in the clouds picking up Manyawar Kanshi Ram as His political successor and thereafter Behanji Mayawati as His heir.

Jai Bheem – We Want Justice – A multilingual rap song by DEATHRAP

Jai Bheem – We Want Justice – A multilingual rap song by DEATHRAP (HYDERABAD’s favourite Hip-Hop crew) in solidarity to the student’s suicide in University Of Hyderabad (UoH) and it’s following protest and fight for justice by Joint Action Committee for Social Justice (JAC-UoH).

LYRICS

RAPP BOI:

how would you feel? waking up to a morning
knowing that you won’t be witnessing the sun of another morning
oppressed for caste oppressed for colour religion and personal opinions
it’s democracy jai hind

hai ladayi yeh zaat ki zaat-o-jamaat ki
din-o-raat ki firqo mein bate aap ki
par aaj bhi yeh duniya nahi tere baap ki
aur aakhri khat mera hai azaad bhi

shaheed hu main shaheed ek sipahi
du gawahi har ek zulm ki aleef se elaahi
par wallahi ab main wo nahi jo tujhse dargaya
ghut-ghut ke jeeraha tha ya ghut-ghut ke margaya

good morning i won’t be around when you read this
i ain’t blaming no one but you know about my hit-list
i love science i love stars i love nature more than cars
but you talk about caste? you don’t deserve some water

dalit lives matter human lives matter
i always wanna be a writer writer like Carl Sagan
10 milligrams of sodium a good rope with some reason
got much stress on my mind so i became a monster

RAPP BOI – LIL’ G – OMER:

jai bheem
we want justice
fulfil our demands
we want justice
i won’t follow your commands
we want justice
till i die i will stand or till you punish the culprits

jai bheem
we want justice
hai amar tu shaheed
we want justice
we miss you rohit
we want justice
till i die i will stand or till you punish the culprits

LIL’ G:

dalit pareshani yeh mantriyo ki galti hai
rishwat dhoka bemani ghunda raj meri marzi hai
kamzarf samjhe mujhko shaheedo mein ab ginti hai
yeh sarkar bhrashtachar jaat-o-paat pe kyu ladti hai?

they say knowledge is a wisdom
equality liberty democracy what you believe in
i’ am a hindu or muslim buddhist or christian
religions don’t matter i’ am a human with nature

mere bhai mere dost we want justice
rest in peace oh my lord we want justice
jai bheem jai hind for a cause for some peace
amar tu rahe akhri khat mera geet

unchi zaat neechi zaat gumnaam har fankaar
jeena maut aur bas khaum horahe khatl-e-aam
dalit prashtachar is ladayi se bezaar
aandolan for a justice buland hai yeh farmaan

RAPP BOI – LIL’ G – OMER:

jai bheem
we want justice
fulfil our demands
we want justice
i won’t follow your commands
we want justice
till i die i will stand or till you punish the culprits

jai bheem
we want justice
hai amar tu shaheed
we want justice
we miss you rohit
we want justice
till i die i will stand or till you punish the culprits

RAPP BOI:

hum ladenge
bhooke rahenge
saari duniya ko kahenge tera zulm-o-sitam
jabtak hai zameer zinda

2016

oh! wait
bahut kuch bolna abhi baaqi hai
muzaffar nagar abhi baaqi hai

i know my birth was a curse so i did my best to make my death a remark
a revolution
a new beginning
and then okay
i agree am talking about hooliganism
but what about you? haan?

it’s world’s largest democracy where the religions and caste sentiments are so called more beloved than the human who carries the religion on everyday basis, yeah!

let’s raise our voice

PROTEST:

6th January in Dalit History – Birth Anniversary of Lion of Vidarbha – Babu L. N. Hardas

Hardas Laxmanrao Nagrale (6th January 1904– 12th January 1939), popularly known as Babu L.N. Hardas.was a Dalit leader and social reformer in India. He was an ardent follower of Dr. Ambedkar and was pioneer of the practice of exchanging the greeting Jai Bhim amongst the Dalits. Babu Hardas started his social activities pretty early in his life. At the age of 17, he started a weekly Maharatha from Nagpur with a view of spreading social awareness in the Dalits. He tried to organize the Mahar community by founding the Mahar Samaj organization in 1922. He also formed one Mahar Samaj Pathak, a voluntary corps group, to organize the disorganized Mahar youth to protect the Dalits against the atrocities. He opened a Mahila Ashram in order to imparting training to Dalit women in daily activities. Also, in order to avoid exploitation of beedi workers, he started the beedi work on cooperative basis, which became very successful in the area.

Jai Bheem is banned but Chhota Bheem isn’t!

It is really sorry state of the country where Dalits are killed for having Dr. Ambedkar ringtones and study groups named after Dr. Ambedkar are banned for raising voices against caste discrimination. On the other hand, serials or movies like Chhota Bheem are propagated in so-called elite colleges and universities. One cartoonist depicted this nicely. These universities are spreading superstitions and fiction. On the one hand governments are trying to bring anti-superstitions law but on the same time, universities like IITs are banning any rational thinking group. Are these really so-called technical universities?
