Dr. Ambedkar’s Statue vandalized in Phagwara, Punjab

A statue of Dr. B R Ambedkar was vandalized at village Palahi near in Phagwara district on Sunday. It is such a shameful act. Time and again Dalit heroes statues are vandalized but governments don’t do anything, what a shame! We must protest against such acts and raise our voice against crimes on Dalits. It was second incident in last 3 months of so in the area, what action government is taking? SAD-BJP led government in Punjab is anti-Dalit and has not done anything to improve the situation of Dalits in Punjab. We must get united and throw this government out of power and bring our own rule and then only we can fulfill the dream of Begumpura of Guru Ravidas also.

Stop Attacking Dalit Statues and Dalit Pride

Dalits look upon Dalit leaders, Dalit icons, and Dalit history everywhere. Dalit masses need a source of inspiration, someone among them with whom they can relate to. Dalits need icons among them, who had/have suffered or faced the same pain as today’s Dalits face. By relating themselves to those icons, Dalits of today can achieve higher goals. Dalits of today don’t need outsiders to inspire them: who knows a shit about Parshuram? Dalits don’t need someone with twelve arms, nine tails and six legs to inspire them. Dalits need someone real, someone who can be from Dalits only. Well dressed Dalits’ statues give people educational, political, and social ambitions. So by damaging Dalit icons’ statues, upper caste people are depriving Dalits of the source of inspiration and of pride. Don’t touch. And if anyone puts his dirty hands on Dalit pride, Dalits know better what to do!

Caste Based Discrimination at IITs and all other higher education institutions is common in India. Shame on IIT administration and MHRD.

Shame on this Modi Government’s Ministry of HR and IIT Madras administration for banning a student group – Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle. This is absolute misuse of power by the Sanghis and attack on fundamental right of freedom of expression and free speech. These buggers know the power of ideology of Dr Ambedkar and Periyar which is the only ideological force in India that can challenge them socially, culturally and politically.

Earthquake that couldn’t shake caste bias – Dalit victims of Nepal earthquake still waiting for any help

Caste has such strong foundation in Asia that no tsunami can wash it, no earthquake can shake it and no flood can carry away the filth of it. Once again Dalits have been left out of any relief work in Nepal earthquake. According to the latest news from The Indian Express (29th April) Dalits are still waiting for any help from Government. Dalits houses have been devastated by earthquake but no Government is helping them. It is not the first time that Dalits have been ignored by Governments in natural calamities. One can check out from Gujarat earthquake to Tamil Nadu Tsunami to Kosi River floods in Bihar, who has suffered the most? Dalits. Dalits suffer the most in natural disasters and Dalits’ experience in natural calamities isn’t very good; Dalits have always been left out of rehabilitation.

Here is what Dr. Ambedkar had said about the discrimination in charity almost 70 years back and this is still true,

“Go into the field of charity. With one or two exceptions all charity in India is communal. If a Parsi dies, he leaves his money for Parsis. If a Jain dies, he leaves his money for Jains. If a Marwadi dies, he leaves his money for Marwadis. If a Brahmin dies, he leaves his money for Brahmins. Thus, there is no room for the downtrodden and the outcastes in politics, in industry, in commerce, and in education.”

It is unfortunate when relief and rehabilitation should be done without considering caste or creed, in reality it doesn’t happen. Research has shown time and again that in large scale disasters, communities at the bottom of the caste hierarchy are also the last to receive relief benefits, if they receive it at all. Government of Nepal, India and all other relief and rehabilitation agencies must ensure that Dalits are not left out of relief and rehabilitation.

Voiceless victims are crying for help and it is our duty to raise your voice against injustice happening to Dalits so that they do get timely help and they are not left out in rehabilitation process. Further, please support Dalit organisations such as EDWON — Empower Dalit Women of Nepal working in Nepal for relief and rehabilitation of earthquake victims, don’t donate to any other (manuwadi) organisation because they don’t help Dalits at all.

Dalits Demand – Free the Mahabodhi Maha Vihara from the clutches of Brahmins

It’s a high time when all of us stay updated with all the news which the mainstream media doesn’t disclose. We as an awareness creating platform & alternative Media are about to set a campaign to spread awareness among large masses regarding the protests which are going to be held at Delhi Jantar Mantar from 25th April 2015 to 27th April 2015. These protests are to free the Mahabodhi Maha vihara which is the most important Buddhist pilgrimage center with 2,500 years of history, from the Hindu authorities. Lord Buddha TV has launched its biggest protest for setting Mahabodhi Maha vihara free from the controls of Hindu authorities. Peaceful protests will be carried out at Jantar Mantar to demand the most significant Buddhist pilgrimage into the hands of Indian Buddhist authorities.

False history has been propagated by the Hindu authorities to the masses and the tourists out of one being the theory of The Buddha being the reincarnation of Vishnu.
