Government of India order. One doesn’t need to worry that after conversion he/she will lose reservation or other benefits.

One response to “Buddhist Converts can claim Scheduled Caste Status

  1. Gajabegiri

The benefits of the representation are extended to the castes listed in scheduled castes. (The word “or the sikh”, the words “the sikh and the Buddhist” shall be substituted.) These words or lines are not included in the list of Scheduled. It is therefore the amendment seems incomplete. I think the Buddhist converts can not claim is Scheduled castes as far as the representation in the posts of Central Government of India.
