Pardeep,
Gail Omvedt is the exception. Her writings is filled with references to the Marathi Dalit-Bahujan movement and Dalit-Bahujan writers like Kancha Ilaiah. I too learned much from Jaffrelot’s book “India’s Silent Revolution” before I realized how dependent on the Brahmin left academia he was.
As far as the Brahmins go, I find Badri Narayan sincere. He writes well of Dalits and has dropped his caste surname ‘Tiwari.” But even so, the point is not that these books are bad but that they reproduce power structures.
