From the director of movie Shudra – The Rising, another movie is going to come into picture, named 500 – The Battle of Koregaon.

It is a story of glorious victory of few hundred untouchable soldiers over numerically superior Peshwas army in the battle of Koregaon, fought on 1st January, 1818. I had written on it almost a year back, you can read about it at 1st January, 1818 – The Battle of Bhima Koregaon.

me and my friends think that after completing our education we will make a film based on bhima koregaon but when i saw a poster of this film we completely get shocked that what we think now it is going to happen and i know that this we rock in theaters as well as in our peoples heart by knowing that we r the child of those warriours

Congrats to director sanjeev jaiswal n his team for making movie on Bhima koregaov battle.. definately this movie will make the untouchables , mass peoples to know the brave history of their forefathers, theirs sacrifices , theirs battle for pride – humanity .. I also wish this film must be made in English language too so as worldwide peoples must know this true History.. Hope director sanjeev will put his sincere efforts in this historical film

Congrats to Sanjeev Jaiswal as Respected Sanjeev and team will be winning Oscar for this film as it is based on true story. There is request to Sanjeev sir to read my above comment which i have posted as i have heard from my Friend and Grandfather Adv Bajirao Kamble (Ex Mla Maharashtra)who arranged first winning speech on Shaniwarwada where Peshwas resided and after that he used to get threatning calls from castists but he had alway’s replied back them bravely and challenged the calls ( that if they had power they can come forward and fight but no body had turned up.) He used to give speech without loudspeaker he had such a loud voice and worked with Dr B R Ambedkar.

It was the fight for humanity, The Mahar Lt asked Bajirao Peshwa we will fight on your side what place will you give in community. Bajirao answered that he will not give so much space which a tip of needle has in community. So the Mahar Lt decided to fight against Peswas on the side of british and defeated them.

Need to brush up ur history….the peshwa army at that time had an army of 28,000 deployed at various places while 2000 of them were at bhima koregaon.Secondly this war made a gateway for the British to rule our country who later carried out atrocities on our own people including dalits.Enough said.
